The Premier League Announced the Continuation of Brief Hydration Breaks During the Month of Ramadan in the Middle of the Matches
For another consecutive year, the English league will allow hydration breaks during matches that take place in the holy month of Islam
The Premier League's measures
On the eve of the start of Ramadan, the holy month of Islam, the Premier League announced the continuation of the brief hydration break that has been made since 2021 in these instances, being the first time in a Leicester City match against Crystal Palace where it was decided to take a brief hydration break for the players.
What do these breaks consist of?
This measure is carried out during a goal kick, a throw-in, or a free kick so that the players can consume energy gels and hydrate themselves to be able to continue playing without problems, and a time is agreed for this break, prior to the meeting between referees and team captains.
Some of the Muslim players who will need these small breaks in the middle of the matches will be footballers of the stature of Mohammed Salah, Amad Diallo. William Saliba and Rayan Ait-Nouri, among others

Other measures taken by clubs
This measure does not come only from the Premier League but is accompanied by particular measures from the clubs, as was the case with Mané's Liverpool, who spoke about the club's decision to move training to allow for better performance from its players and support them in the month of Ramadan. This measure of the English league will last the month of Ramadan, and every year, the date changes due to the same fluctuation of the religious event.
