Gonçalo Ramos Saves PSG in the Final Minute: Dramatic Goal Keeps Ligue 1 Lead Alive
The Portuguese striker struck deep into stoppage time to give Paris Saint-Germain a dramatic victory over Nice and keep them at the top of Ligue 1
Paris Saint-Germain endured another nerve-wracking night at the Parc des Princes, where a stoppage-time goal from Gonçalo Ramos secured a hard-fought 2–1 win over Nice. The Portuguese forward, playing his 100th match for the club, became the unexpected hero by rescuing a team that seemed destined for yet another home draw.
It was a real test for Luis Enrique’s side, who continue to struggle for consistency in their play. Despite dominating possession, PSG lacked depth and attacking clarity for much of the game. Nice, arriving on the back of four straight victories, made life difficult for the champions with disciplined defending and a tactical setup that neutralized PSG’s stars for long stretches.
Ramos Rescues the Champions in Added Time
When the draw seemed inevitable, Luis Enrique decided to roll the dice with late substitutions, bringing on Ousmane Dembélé and Gonçalo Ramos in the 72nd minute. The move paid off perfectly. The Portuguese striker, who had already hit the post in the 80th minute, capitalized on a precise cross from Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in stoppage time, connecting with a powerful header that left goalkeeper Yehvann Diouf with no chance.

The goal not only secured all three points but also lifted a team that had managed just one win in its previous four league games. Ramos, celebrating his 20th goal for PSG, was visibly emotional after scoring on such a symbolic night—his 100th appearance for the club.
Luis Enrique Breathes Easier Ahead of Bayern Clash
Beyond Ramos’s heroics, another positive note was the return of Fabián Ruiz, who made his comeback after recovering from a muscle injury. Still, Luis Enrique knows his side must show more sharpness ahead of their next big test: Bayern Munich in the Champions League, where PSG will aim to reaffirm their continental ambitions.
With this victory, Paris Saint-Germain remain top of Ligue 1, closely followed by Monaco, Marseille, and Lens. It may not have been a flawless performance, but the team’s fighting spirit shone through at the perfect time. Once again, the French champions proved that even in the dying moments, they always find a way to win.
