Barca complete Adeyemi signing on five-year deal
Barcelona have strengthened their frontline once again this summer, bringing in Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund.
Barcelona have announced the signing of forward Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund.
Adeyemi has signed a five-year deal with the LaLiga side following a reported €22m transfer from Borussia Dortmund, with another €7m in add-ons.
The 24-year-old joins Barca after four seasons with Dortmund, where he failed to win any silverware but finished runners-up in the 2023-24 Champions League.
Adeyemi scored 35 goals and provided 22 assists in 145 appearances for Dortmund, directly contributing to the third-most goals during his time at the club (Julian Brandt – 80, Serhou Guirassy – 70).
He completed the second-most dribbles (189) for Dortmund over the last four seasons (Jamie Gittens – 192), while only Brandt (70) completed more chance-created ending carries than Adeyemi (50).
The Germany international is Barca's second major attacking signing of the summer, after also acquiring Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United.
The Blaugrana have also been very open in their pursuit of Atletico Madrid's Julian Alvarez, while Joao Pedro has been mentioned as a potential alternative if they cannot sign the Argentine.
Barca's LaLiga title defence starts on August 23 away to Elche, followed by home fixtures against Athletic Club and Rayo Vallecano.
