Will he stay? Piqué Thinks this About Xavi
The historic Spanish defender and former FC Barcelona player, Gerard Piqué, stated in an interview with TimesSport that Xavi will continue to be the coach of Barcelona even if he doesn't win any titles with the Blaugrana.
"I don't think Xavi's decision is one hundred percent. Well, I think he will stay (...) I don't talk to Xavi every day, but we have spoken several times. I want the best for him because it will surely be the best for the club," Piqué declared, contrasting with Xavi's consistent stance in press conferences, where he asserts that he will leave Barcelona at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, the Spanish coach assures that the decision is made, and even if he wins a title this season, he remains firm in leaving. "I participate because I love this club. My decision doesn't change, and I try to help as much as I can. I am a man of the club; whatever I can do to help, I will," declared Xavi Hernández ahead of the game against Atleti, also stating that he will take a break.
