Real Madrid Player Injured and Will Miss The Club World Cup
Young Brazilian forward Endrick ends the season with unfortunate news. Real Madrid has confirmed through an official medical report that the striker has suffered an injury to the conjoint tendon of the hamstrings in his right leg, which will keep him sidelined for at least two months. The injury will not only prevent him from playing the final LaLiga match against Real Sociedad, but also rules him out of the upcoming Club World Cup, set to begin on June 15 in the United States.
Although Endrick had not been a regular starter under Carlo Ancelotti, his absence adds to the list of setbacks for the Madrid squad, which is already dealing with several fitness issues. The Brazilian has made 37 appearances in his first season with the team, starting only eight times. Despite limited minutes, he managed to score seven goals, five of them in the Copa del Rey.

Real Madrid’s medical statement indicated that Endrick’s condition is “pending evolution,” meaning there is no fixed return date. However, it's expected that he won’t be back in action until the start of preseason, now under new manager Xabi Alonso. The injury also delays his full integration into the team, which was set to begin in earnest during the Club World Cup—a competition where he was expected to play an important role.
At a crucial moment in planning for next season, Endrick's absence poses a challenge for the coaching staff, which now has fewer attacking options for the international tournament.
Mbappé unstoppable and closing in on the Golden Boot
In stark contrast to Endrick’s misfortune, Kylian Mbappé continues to deliver an outstanding season. With his recent goal against Sevilla, the Frenchman has reached 29 goals in LaLiga, surpassing Alfredo Di Stéfano’s debut-season record with the club. He is now just one goal away from becoming the fourth player in LaLiga history to reach 30 goals in his first season, joining legends like Ronaldo Nazario, Romário, and Pruden.
The Real Madrid striker leads several offensive categories in the league and remains in contention for the Golden Boot, with 58 points—just half a point behind Viktor Gyökeres of Sporting CP. He’s also competing with Mohamed Salah, who still has two Premier League matches to play.

With 41 goals across all competitions this season, Mbappé is on pace to surpass his personal best of 44 goals in 48 matches set during his time at PSG, making his debut season in Madrid one for the record books.
