Laporta message to Hansi Flick after making Barcelona a feared team

FC Barcelona officially confirmed on Wednesday the contract renewal of German manager Hansi Flick through June 2027. The club’s board has opted to extend the coach’s tenure after a successful domestic campaign and clear signs of progress in the team’s development.
Flick signed the new deal earlier this afternoon, accompanied by a public message of support from club president Joan Laporta:
“Hansi, thank you for continuing to elevate Barça’s legacy—the best club in the world. Barça fans love you, and we trust you to keep leading our players toward victory,” Laporta wrote on social media.
A Season of Titles and Renewed Hope
Although Barcelona fell short in the UEFA Champions League—being eliminated by Inter Milan—the team achieved a domestic treble, rekindling excitement among fans: La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup.
The squad also managed to defeat arch-rivals Real Madrid multiple times, reclaiming part of the dominance lost in recent years following Lionel Messi departure to PSG. The positive record against Madrid was a standout feature of the season.

Building a Competitive Squad
Beyond the silverware, Flick work has been praised for its impact on individual performances. Players like Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski have rediscovered their top form, while young sensation Lamine Yamal has emerged as one of Europe brightest prospects.
The locker room has responded to the German coach’s leadership, with a well-balanced squad that mixes experience with youthful energy.
The Ultimate Goal: European Glory
With three trophies secured this season, the main objective for the upcoming campaign is the Champions League, a title the club hasn’t lifted since 2015. Flick renewal brings continuity and stability to the Barça project, reinforcing their competitive ambitions.
Barcelona is betting on consistency, team unity, and a winning mentality that has reconnected with its fanbase. With Flick in charge, the show at Camp Nou is far from over
