In Search of the Hexa! Brazil Arrives in the United States for the World Cup
The Brazil National Team has officially landed in the United States and is ready to begin its latest World Cup journey. The five-time world champions arrive with hopes of lifting football’s most prestigious trophy once again and adding a sixth star to their legendary résumé.
Led by head coach Carlo Ancelotti, the Brazilian delegation touched down in New Jersey carrying a blend of experience, talent, and ambition. While Brazil may not enter the tournament as the clear favorite, confidence remains high within a squad determined to compete for the title.
Carlo Ancelotti Begins His Biggest Challenge With Brazil
The 2026 FIFA World Cup represents the first major international tournament for Carlo Ancelotti as head coach of Brazil. After a highly successful career at Europe’s top clubs, the Italian manager now faces the challenge of returning the Seleção to the summit of world football.
Upon arriving in the United States, Ancelotti emphasized that Brazil is approaching the competition with optimism while recognizing the strength of the field. According to the veteran coach, several national teams have legitimate chances of winning the tournament.
The manager now has all 26 players available after the arrival of Marquinhos, Gabriel Magalhães, and Gabriel Martinelli, who joined the squad following their participation in the UEFA Champions League Final.
Neymar and Vinicius Lead Brazil’s Quest for Glory
Much of the spotlight will be on Neymar and Vinicius Jr., two of the team’s biggest stars and key attacking weapons. Both players arrive with the responsibility of leading a talented squad eager to restore Brazil’s dominance on the world stage.
The last time Brazil won the FIFA World Cup was in 2002 in South Korea and Japan. Since then, the nation with the most World Cup titles has endured several painful exits, including its quarterfinal elimination against Croatia at Qatar 2022.
Now, with a new generation of talent and one of football’s most decorated managers on the sidelines, Brazil believes it has what it takes to end that drought.
Brazil’s Road at the 2026 World Cup
Before its opening match, Brazil will hold training sessions at Columbia Park Training Center, the facility used by the New York Red Bulls. The team will also play a final warm-up match against Egypt.
Brazil will open its World Cup campaign on June 13 in Group C, where it will face Morocco, Haiti, and Scotland. It will be the first step in a mission with a clear objective: winning the long-awaited hexa and returning Brazil to the top of world football.
