The FIFA president said the World Cup welcomed approximately seven million fans from more than 200 countries and praised the event's security and organizational standards throughout the competition.
He also dismissed criticism regarding visa restrictions that affected some supporters, referees, and national team representatives, arguing that those isolated cases were insignificant compared to the millions of people who were able to attend and enjoy the tournament.

Although he never mentioned Folarin Balogun by name, Infantino alluded to the controversy surrounding the decision to overturn the United States forward's suspension following his red card against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The FIFA president argued that controversial refereeing and disciplinary decisions are common in many of the world's biggest domestic leagues and questioned why similar situations received far greater scrutiny when they occurred during the World Cup.
