Klopp moves closer to a return to the dugout

Jürgen Klopp confirmed that he is very close to becoming the new head coach of the Germany national team after reaching an agreement that would facilitate his departure from Red Bull.

The former Liverpool manager acknowledged that talks are moving in the right direction, although he clarified that several procedures still need to be completed before the German Football Association can make an official announcement.

His experience at Mainz, Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool, along with his intense style and ability to transform teams, has made him the DFB’s leading candidate.

Should the agreement be made official, Klopp would also have a say in assembling his coaching staff, while Rudi Völler would remain as sporting director to provide continuity to the German project.

For now, negotiations are ongoing, but the coach’s own comments suggest that the announcement German football has been waiting for could be only a few days away.
