How to Watch: Atletico CP vs. Benfica on beIN SPORTS
On Friday, Benfica will not have far to travel to take on the team’s opponents in the fourth round of the Portuguese Cup. But that’s the only comfort that the team lead by Jose Mourinho will have, who are facing a potential giant-killing experience in the outskirts of Lisbon.
A small stadium, a big atmosphere
The Benfica players will only have to be in their team bus for just 15 minutes to reach the ground of Atletico CP, Friday’s opponents in the Taça de Portugal. The Tapadinha, the home of Atletico CP who play in Portugal's third tier, is likely to be sold out to its 4000 capacity and create an atmosphere to challenge the Benfica players.
Mourinho unfazed, but injuries hit Benfica
However, one person who will remain unbothered by a little intimidation is Jose Mourinho, who is more than used to a hostile reception wherever he goes. In his two months in charge at Benfica, Mourinho has managed to steady the ship at the club with the highlight being taking a credible goalless draw at the home of league-leading Porto. However, Benfica will be without the talents of the Belgian winger, Dodi Lukébakio, who was injured whilst playing for his country against Liechtenstein on Tuesday.
