Missing the injured Kylian Mbappe, France spurned a number of chances before Bayern Munich star Olise went on a lung-busting run in the 88th minute, cutting inside two Belgium defenders and slotting home for a stunning match-winner.
Zidane celebrated the moment by dancing down the touchline and booting one of the stationary footballs away.
The win lifted France to the top of Group A1 ahead of a huge match against improving Italy on Saturday morning.
