Man Utd 'keeper Vitek ready to be number one
Manchester United's Radek Vitek is hopeful of moving elsewhere to become a number one goalkeeper next season.
Vitek, who joined United as a 16 year-old in 2020, has had numerous loan spells away from Old Trafford, the most notable of which saw him spend 2025-2026 at Bristol City.
As the Robins finished 12th in the Championship, Vitek made 41 league appearances and kept 12 clean sheets.
Vitek's 134 saves were the fourth-most in the Championships.
But, with Senne Lammens, Altay Bayindir, Karl Darlow and Tom Heaton now ahead of him in the pecking order, Vitek feels he must seek regular minutes elsewhere, even if that means departing on a permanent basis.
"I feel great and ready to go somewhere again to be, hopefully, as number one, so we will see. We will see what is going to happen," Vitek said.
"At the moment, I am still here, but we will see. I hope there will be some interest. I think you will know when things are more concrete."
Asked if he would prefer a permanent or temporary move, he added: "I am ready for both, to be fair. It depends what the club wants and depends on the options. We will see.
"There has been some interest on the table. But we hope to get the best one, and hopefully it will happen soon."
Vitek played 45 minutes as United was beaten 1-0 by Wrexham in its first pre-season friendly of the summer on Sunday, with a trip to Rosenborg to come on Saturday.
