Carrick reveals Baleba injury 'doesn't look great'
Michael Carrick revealed Manchester United midfielder Carlos Baleba's injury "doesn't look great".
Baleba suffered a hamstring injury during United's stunning comeback victory over Roma in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Despite going 2-0 down at Old Trafford, a Bruno Fernandes penalty and Matheus Cunha brace saw the Red Devils secure a much-needed win.
Baleba won seven of his eight duels, including both aerial duels before being replaced in the 51st minute by Youri Tielemans.
The 22 year-old has only featured seven times for United this season after missing the start of the campaign with an ankle injury.
Since his first start for United, Baleba has won the joint-most duels of any Red Devils midfielder, holds the second-best duel success rate and has won the joint-third-most tackles.
"I haven't got any more news on Carlos at this stage," Carrick said. "It's his hamstring, so we'll just have to assess what that looks like. Initially, it doesn't look great. Timelines, I haven't got much more to give you."
United hosts Aston Villa in its final match before the international break, though faces a huge trip to Anfield to play Liverpool in its first game back.
Carrick could receive a boost ahead of the Villa game, with Patrick Dorgu returning to training after a hamstring injury.
United is 17th in the Premier League after nine games, level on points with Crystal Palace one place below it in the relegation zone.
