Toronto FC forward Emilio Aristizabal has urged his team-mates to "turn the page" after a disappointing home run.

The Reds ended a run of nine consecutive home games in MLS with a 4-2 defeat to Inter Miami, extending their winless run to six games in the league.

Overall, Toronto won just two games during their home run (D5 L2), which came in back-to-back games against the Columbus Crew and Colorado Rapids respectively.

Toronto now face a six-game road trip, though only two of those matches will take place before the World Cup break.

The Reds travel to Charlotte FC this weekend to start their away run, and Aristizabal believes the team must not dwell on their home form.

"In terms of the results , we don’t have the points that we wanted," Emilio Aristizabal said.

"We still felt the support of the fans through every match and the energy was always good.

"There’s a couple of games where the goals against us were deflections or plays that we cannot really explain, but those are things that happen in football.

"I think right now we just have to turn the page and focus on what’s coming and just always be thankful with the supporters for all the support through everything.

"We’re very positive that we’re going to be able to get on the right foot once we come back from the break."

Charlotte have also struggled in recent games, failing to win any of their last five MLS outings (D1 L4).

They lost 1-0 to New York City FC during the week, while they were also knocked out of the US Open Cup during their current winless run.

Pep Biel has been Charlotte's most influential player in the final third this season, registering six goals and four assists so far in 2026.

He recorded the most xG of any Charlotte player during their defeat to NYCFC (0.34), while he also completed 100% of his passes in the final third (12) and recorded the most crosses (seven).

Coming into the match in the 65th minute, Aristizabal scored twice for Toronto against Miami after notching one career MLS goal prior to that.

He was the first Toronto player to have a game with multiple goals in 25 or fewer minutes played since Jordan Hamilton in April 2019 against Minnesota United.

Charlotte are on a three-match winning streak against Toronto, with the last two victories both being shutouts. Charlotte have never had three consecutive shutout wins against any opponent in MLS play.

However, Charlotte are winless in six straight matches in all competitions (D1 L5); this is their longest winless run in all competitions since going eight straight without a win in July-September 2024.

Toronto’s loss to Miami on Saturday was their final match of a 10-game homestand across all competitions, after they played their first three games of 2026 away from home (W1 L2).

The Reds are looking to win two of their first four road matches in a season for the fourth time (two in 2014, 2019 and 2020).
