Fati makes Monaco move permanent from Barcelona
Ansu Fati's 15-year stay at Barcelona has now come to an end after he opted to stay at Monaco on a four-year deal.
Ansu Fati has made the permanent move to Monaco after a successful loan spell last season.
Fati joined Monaco from Barcelona in 2025-26 and went on to score 12 goals in 30 appearances across all competitions.
And he has now put pen to paper on a four-year deal, with the Ligue 1 side reportedly paying €11m.
Fati brings an end to his 15-year stay at Barcelona, having joined their academy in 2011 and making his senior debut at 16 when he was tipped as the heir to Lionel Messi.
However, his time at Camp Nou was plagued by injury, and he then struggled to nail down a spot in the side when Hansi Flick joined in 2024-25.
His 11 Ligue 1 goals last term mark the best scoring campaign of his career – his previous best was seven in both 2019-20 and 2022-23 for Barca.
Fati's 12 goals in total meant he was the club's second-highest scorer, with an average of one goal contribution every 110 minutes, the best ratio in Ligue 1.
