Davide Ancelotti named as Lille head coach
Davide Ancelotti, son of Brazil boss Carlo, haas been named head coach of Lille on a two-year deal.
Lille have announced Davide Ancelotti will be their new head coach.
Davide, son of legendary coach and current Brazil boss Carlo, has signed a two-year deal with Lille, who sacked Bruno Genesio at the end of the 2025-26 season.
This will be Ancelotti's second role as head coach, having taken charge of Botafogo between July and December 2025.
The 36-year-old won just 12 of his 27 league games in charge (D9 L6), guiding Botafogo to a sixth-place finish before being relieved of his duties.
He has held assistant roles at Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Napoli and Everton, while he was also assistant to his father with the Brazil national team.
"I am very proud and happy, and I thank President Olivier Letang for his trust and for this opportunity," Ancelotti told the club website.
"We talked a lot, and I found a real connection, with shared ideas and values. The LOSC project is a perfect fit for me, with its clear identity, high standards, and commitment to hard work.
"It's a serious, ambitious, competitive club that regularly competes in European competitions. It's an honour for me to represent LOSC."
Lille finished third in Ligue 1, clinching Champions League football for next season.
