Windass winner extends Wrexham's unbeaten run
Wrexham moved to within four points of the play-off places in the EFL Championship after denting Charlton Athletic's hopes with a 1-0 win.
Josh Windass scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot on 77 minutes after Addicks substitute Onel Hernandez was penalised for a handball in the box.
It was Windass's fifth goal of the season, and extended Wrexham's unbeaten run to five matches.
"I felt we deserved to win on the balance of play," Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson said.
"Enormous credit to our lads today, Pompey away on a Wednesday night and playing again today, I thought the energy levels were good. We're so pleased with the win."
