Trialist makes stunning save in Scottish league Cup
Veteran Queen of the South trialist Deniz Mehmet may have been beaten four times in his side's 4-1 Premier Sports Cup loss to Aberdeen this morning, but it was one he saved which may land him a permanent gig at the Scottish League One club.
In the 70th minute, the 33 year-old goal-keeper produced a moment of brilliance to deny Aberdeen from point blank range, first blocking Kevin Nisbet's shot on the line, then scrambling to knock the ball out of the goalmouth before it had fully crossed the line.
