Rosol and Bellucci through in Moscow
Lukas Rosol and Thomaz Bellucci secured straight-sets victories to reach the second round on day one of the Kremlin Cup.
Rosol battled back in the first set against Gerald Melzer and went on to advance with a 7-5 6-2 victory in a contest in Moscow which lasted just 64 minutes.
The world number 93 from the Czech Republic, beaten by Viktor Troicki in the first round of the Shanghai Masters last week, broke three times and produced a solid display of serving to avoid another early exit.
Rosol, facing the Austrian for the first time, was 5-3 down in the first set but won four games in a row and bossed the second set to seal a win which sets up a meeting with Stephane Robert or Marcel Granollers.
Brazilian Bellucci came out on top against wildcard Cem Ilkel in the other first-round match to take place on Monday, winning 7-5 6-1.
Ilkel struggled on serve and Bellucci capitalised, breaking four times to ensure he will take on either eighth seed Andrey Kuznetsov or Guido Pella.
