IOC extends measures taken against Russia
The IOC executive board will examine the evidence after the final publication of the McLaren report before issuing appropriate measures.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has extended doping sanctions taken against Russia until further notice.
Measures were imposed on Russia in July following the publication of the first installment of McLaren report, which alleged the European nation to be guilty of state-sponsored doping.
The IOC on Wednesday revealed the action taken against Russia will remain in place, two days before the second and final report from Professor Richard McLaren, commissioned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), is due to be published
