The summer so far…
Plenty of ingoing and outgoings at Brighton over the close season. As you would expect, the Seagulls have had a knack over the last few seasons of turning a healthy profit from their unheralded signings to fellow Premier League signings. This summer was no different with Alexis Mac Allister and Robert Sanchez heading to Liverpool and Chelsea for bumper fees. Ecuadorian midfielder Moisés Caicedo is also expected to be leaving the club, should Chelsea reach Brighton’s valuation.
In terms of ingoings, Roberto De Zerbi has retooled his squad with some experience as they look to balance the rigours of the Europa League and Premier League competitions. Veteran James Milner and former Borussia Dortmund man Mo Dahoud look like savvy additions. Brighton have also broken their transfer record on Brazilian attacker João Pedro from Watford. It remains to be seen if the promising 21-year-old will hit the ground running.
Player to watch…
Fresh from signing a new deal in the summer, club captain Lewis Dunk will be the man to watch for the Seagulls. At 31, the central defender is coming into his prime years and has been an ever-present in the side. Solid and dependable, Dunk should be more than capable to handle the responsibility at home and abroad. Expect Dunk to push for a place in the England squad for Euro 2024.

Predicted Finish – 8th
European demands could play a part, but we think Brighton will go again and impress in the Premier League, they won’t hit the heights of a seventh-place finish but a impressive eighth place will be on the cards for Roberto De Zerbi and Brighton.
