Leicester move up top second place following a 4-1 win at Leeds.
Leicester move up top second place following a 4-1 win at Leeds. The away side were clinical in the box and played with real confidence from the very start as they managed to take a lead just 2 minutes into the game with a deadly counterattack which saw Vardy set up his teammate Harvey Barnes put in the net.
Leicester maintained their dominance in the first half, Yuri Tielemans managed to capitalize on a deflected header of Vardy in the 21st minute to put his side 2-0 up at the half.
Leeds striker Bamford was handed two incredible opportunities in front of goal to level the scores both times but failed to stay composed when needed, a simple header straight at the keeper the first time, followed by an awful touch while he was one on one with kasper schmeichel
Leeds did start the second half on a positive, a 58th minute goal from Stuart Dallas sparked what seemed like a comeback.
Leicester managed to hold on professionally though and took their opportunities when they arose. Another blistering piece of football on the counterattack saw James Maddison lay a perfect through ball to new signing Cengiz Under, who like he did against Arsenal, chipped the ball every so calmly to assist star man Jamie Vardy to put his side 3-1.
The game was capped with a penalty awarded to Leicester in stoppage, which saw Youri Tielemans grab his second of the night.
Leicester manage to move to second place with a point under Liverpool.
