Pacers' Paul George addresses Lakers rumours
Paul George plans to work out with Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant and "pick his brains" amid talk he will leave the Indiana Pacers.
Los Angeles Lakers fans are waiting for Paul George's contract with the Indiana Pacers to be up so he can head to his hometown.
While George still has another year before he needs to make any major decision about his future, the talk continues to rumble on.
When the All-Star Pacers forward appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Monday night, he had to field a barrage of questions about potentially joining the Lakers from franchise fan Kimmel.
George did not shoot down the possibility of joining the Lakers, mostly just laughing when he was asked questions about it.
The conversation started with Kimmel showing a clip of his show in which Magic Johnson indicated he wanted to bring George on board.
"Nah, man," George said about whether that had an impact on him. “I love Magic. I love Magic. Great dude.
"I know I'm always gonna get those ties, I'm an LA kid."
The forward then revealed he plans to work out with Lakers legend Kobe Bryant and. Kimmel asked if he has talked with the Black Mamba about joining the team.
"Not yet," George responded. “I plan to work out with him, pick his brain a little bit. I’m training now to get ready to work out with him!"
