Jennings retires from NFL
Greg Jennings said "football is over. I'm done" and is excited to pursue his next opportunity after calling time on his playing days.
NFL receiver Greg Jennings announced his retirement on Monday at the age of 32 after 10 seasons in the league.
Jennings became a household name with the Packers, thriving under quarterbacks Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers. He was a two-time Pro Bowl player in Green Bay, and helped the team win Super Bowl 45.
His best season came in 2010 when he finished with 76 receptions for 1,265 yards and 12 touchdowns. Injuries cut his 2012 campaign short, and the team moved on from him after that.
He played a few seasons with Minnesota Vikings before signing for Miami Dolphins last season.
Jennings never eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark since his 2010 season, but was always a reliable receiver.
"Football is over. I'm done," he said in a video announcing the move. "No more big hits. No more touchdown Greg Jennings.
"At least within the lines of a football field. I'm done. And I'm excited to be done."
