Bublik stuns Zverev to make Halle final
Alexander Bublik is just one win away from claiming a first grass-court title on the ATP Tour, winning his semi-final against home hope Alexander Zverev 6-3 7-5.
Bublik fired down 14 aces against his higher ranked opponent, and it became a key factor in the victory over the German star.
"The job is not finished, there is one last match," Bublik said. "I am happy but I try to stay focused. I tried to play my game and i am really happy with the win today."
Bublik faces No.3 seed Andrey Rublev in the final after the Russian claimed a dominant 6-3 6-4 win over Roberto Bautista Agut in the other sem-final.
