Galatasaray star Osimhen sustains fractured arm
Victor Osimhen has sustained a fractured forearm and might require surgery, Galatasaray confirmed.
Star striker Osimhen, who was limited to just seven touches and only one shot, was taken off at half-time.
Galatasaray revealed further tests confirmed Osimhen has suffered a fracture in his right arm.
"Victor Osimhen took a blow to his arm and completed the first half, but following checks at half-time, he was not played in the second half due to the risk of a fracture in his arm," a statement read.
"After the match, under the supervision of our medical team, examinations at the hospital revealed a fracture in our player's right forearm, and it was casted. A decision regarding surgery will be made in the coming days following further evaluations."
Osimhen has scored 19 goals in 29 appearances across the Turkish Super Lig and Champions League this season, averaging a strike every 120 minutes.
Galatasaray also confirmed Noa Lang, who came on as a half-time change but had to be substituted off in the 80th minute, sustained a "serious cut to his right thumb".
Lang will have surgery in Liverpool.
