Valde thrilled to move to Fiorentina from Madrid
Spain under-19 international Valde is relishing the chance to prove his quality in Serie A, having left Real Madrid for Fiorentina in an €8 million($13.1 million) deal.
The centre-back has penned a long-term contract with the Viola, which will reportedly run until 2031, ahead of its first season under the management of Fabio Grosso.
Valde made his LaLiga debut for Madrid last November, starting and playing 78 minutes in a 2-1 victory over Alaves.
That was his only outing for Los Blancos' senior team in all competitions last term, however, and they have now allowed him to leave in search of regular game time.
"I am very happy to be here. It's an incredible place, the training ground is remarkable, and it's a beautiful city," Valde said.
"I am super happy to be here. From one to 10, how excited am I? I'd say 20.
"I haven't had time to visit the city properly yet, but I've been told wonderful things about it, and I can't wait to see it.
"I am an aggressive defender, good technically and tactically, as well as with my pace. I'm really excited and emotional to be here. I can't wait to see all the fans in the stadium."
Madrid reportedly holds a 50 per cent sell-on clause for any future transfer involving Valde, who is the eighth player to join Fiorentina ahead of the 2026-2027 season.
It had already clinched deals for Christ Inao Oulai, Arthur Atta, Viery, Giovanni Fabbian, Marco Brescianini, Radu Dragusin and Alex Jimenez, the latter on a one-year loan.
