Inter Milan signs Curtis Jones from Liverpool
Inter Milan has signed midfielder Curtis Jones from Liverpool on a deal through June 2031, the Serie A club has announced.
Inter did not disclose the financial details of the deal, but reports put the fee at around €35 million ($57 million), including performance-related add-ons.
The 25-year-old ends a 16-year spell at Liverpool, where he joined the academy aged nine and made 228 first-team appearances after his senior debut in the 2018-2019 season.
Jones scored 22 goals and won six major trophies, including two Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League.
The England international featured 49 times in all competitions last season but was unable to establish himself as a regular starter in Liverpool's midfield.
At Inter, he will link up with fellow England internationals John Stones and Djed Spence as the defending Italian champion strengthens its squad for the new season.
Inter starts its title defence on Sunday (AEST) against newly-promoted Monza at San Siro.
