Vlahovic to leave Juventus on a free transfer
Juventus director Giorgio Chiellini confirmed Dusan Vlahovic will leave the club on a free transfer this summer.
The 26 year-old's future with the Bianconeri has been in doubt over recent months, with Chiellini now confirming the club would not agree to the striker's salary demands.
Since Vlahovic joined Juve from Fiorentina in January 2022, only Inter's Lautaro Martinez (84) has scored more goals in Serie A than the Serbian (50 – level with Victor Osimhen).
Vlahovic, however, missed a large part of the 2025-2026 season with a thigh injury, limiting him to just 19 games in the Italian top-flight.
He managed to score three goals in four Champions League games this season, but was sidelined for their tie against Galatasaray in the play-off round.
Chiellini revealed Vlahovic's salary demands were too much for Juve, and he does not expect the forward to stay in Italy beyond the summer.
"I am very sad, he [Vlahovic] cared about Juve right up to the last minute," Chiellini told news agency AGI.
"He is a serious professional. With these figures, he won’t remain in Italy, so it is only fair and legitimate that he is seeking a different type of salary."
Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Newcastle United and Barcelona are all reportedly interested in signing Vlahovic on a free transfer.
Arsenal was also linked with the striker in previous years, though Mikel Arteta may be satisfied with the options of Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz in attack.
