Napoli confirms Politano calf strain
Napoli winger Matteo Politano is recovering from a calf strain sustained while on international duty, the Serie A club confirmed.
Politano has undergone tests back at Napoli after being sent home from Italy’s Euro qualifying squad. He was withdrawn at half-time during Saturday’s 1-1 draw with North Macedonia in Skopje.
The Serie A champion hasn't confirmed whether Politano is expected to be fit for the Serie A match at Genoa, while Denmark midfielder Jesper Lindstrom has rejoined Rudi Garcia’s squad.
