Socceroos star Martin Boyle set to leave Hibernian
Australia international Martin Boyle will be looking for a new club next season after Hibernian head coach David Gray revealed the striker will leave the club at the end of his current contract.
Boyle, who is 32, is closing in on 400 appearance for the Scottish Premiership side – he stands at 398 caps currently – across two spells with the Easter Road club.
"He'll be out of contract at the end of the season and he'll be moving on," Gray sais.
"What he deserves and what he will do between now and the end of the season, and what he's desperate to do, is to go out on a high, as high as he possibly can. That would be European football, if we can do that.
"He deserves to go out that way for what he's done for the football club."
Boyle will likely be a part of the Socceroos squad to play at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, a perfect shop window for him as he looks to fulfil his ambitions.
He helped Hibs win the Scottish Cup in 2016 and has also played for the likes of Dundee, Montrose and Saudi club Al-Faisaly.
Hibs is looking to secure European football next season, and is currently fifth on the Scottish Premiership table, seven points adrift of Motherwell and four ahead of Falkirk.
