Waterlogged pitch sees Celtic game postponed
Celtic's Scottish Premiership clash with Aberdeen was postponed after heavy rain in Scotland made the surface at Pittodrie Stadium unfit to play on.
Aberdeen confirmed the news shortly before 16:30 local time on Wednesday, with a fellow top-flight clash between Dundee and Motherwell also falling victim to the weather.
The postponement means Martin O'Neill's side misses the chance to close the gap to leaders Hearts, with Celtic currently six points behind the league leaders in second.
It does, however, present an opportunity for Celtic's Old Firm rival, Rangers, to leapfrog it in the table, with Danny Rohl's team facing Kilmarnock at Ibrox Stadium.
The other two fixtures in the division will see bottom side Livingston take on Falkirk, while Easter Road Stadium will host Hibernian against Dundee United.
