Stuff you could buy with Juan Mata's salary
In a moment of refreshing candour, Manchester United star Juan Mata has admitted he earns an 'obscene' amount of money that makes him feel like he's living in an unrealistc bubble.
Manchester United star Juan Mata earns more in a week than most Australian families pull in in a year, and, by his own admission, he feels a bit weird about it.
"With respect to the world of football, I earn a normal wage. But compared to 99.9 per cent of Spain and the rest of the world, I earn an obscene amount," Mata said.
Based on Mata's last documented wage, and taking into consideration his various sponsorship deals, that obscene amount translates to roughly $A 263,000 a week.
