Liverpool-linked Mora will 'surely be a great player', says Mac Allister
Gilberto Mora caught the eye for Mexico at the World Cup and has now been linked with some European giants this transfer window.
Alexis Mac Allister believes Liverpool target Gilberto Mora will "surely be a great player", as speculation continues to swirl around the teenager's future.
Mora currently plays for Mexican side Club Tijuana, having come up through their academy, and has made 53 appearances for the first team, while scoring 10 goals.
He also caught the eye at the World Cup for Mexico, becoming the youngest Mexican player to feature in the tournament, aged 17 years and 240 days.
In total, he has made 12 appearances for his country, though he is yet to score on the international stage.
Mora is said to be in high demand, though, with Premier League champions Arsenal, as well as Real Madrid and Barcelona, also interested in his signature this summer.
And asked about the possibility of the 17-year-old sealing a move to Anfield, Mac Allister told Claro Sports: "Honestly, I didn't see anything about it.
"When these things happen, you're always careful what you say, out of respect for the player and the club he belongs to.
"But if he's being linked with Liverpool, he'll surely be a great player, and there's a reason they're mentioning him."
Mora recently signed a new deal with Tijuana through to 2029.
