Southampton signs Peretz from Bayern
Southampton has announced that Daniel Peretz has signed a permanent deal from Bayern Munich after a successful loan spell.
The 25-year-old has signed a four-year deal with the EFL Championship side, which reached the FA Cup semi-final in 2025-2026 before being expelled from the play-off final after admitting to spying on its semi-final opponent, Middlesbrough, which ended up losing the final to Hull City.
After initially being loaned out to Hamburg, where he only played two DFB-Pokal games, Peretz joined Southampton in January on a short-term loan deal.
"I’m super excited," Peretz said.
"For the last few months, this was my home, and we had so many good times, and also some tense times, but even in the last few weeks, with how we stayed together, you could really feel this home environment.
"That was, for me, the deciding factor. Yes, it is my dream to play in the Premier League and on the highest stages in the world, but a bigger dream for me is to be there with Southampton.
"I really believe that we can be there and achieve that."
Southampton has also announced the permanent signing of striker Cyle Larin, after the 31-year-old initially joined on loan from Mallorca.
