Bayern new-buy Brown impressed by squad
Nathaniel Brown believes Bayern Munich "have brutal quality in the squad" as he looks to make an impact in his debut season.
The 23 year-old completed a €50m move from Eintracht Frankfurt earlier this summer, joining Ismael Saibari through the door at the Allianz Arena.
Brown was unveiled at a press conference on Thursday, where it was announced he would wear the number 11 shirt.
The versatile left-back is eager to get the season underway with his Bayern team-mates as he wants to prove his skill.
"We have brutal quality in the squad," said Brown at his unveiling.
"We have great quality, especially in attack but also in defence. It's certainly a bit different to what I've been used to.
"The coach explains a lot to us, especially as a former defender. It's very impressive. We worked on the back four straight away in the first training session.
"I want to show what I can do. I know what I can do and what I can't do. The coach has already shown me what I do well – I've spoken a lot to him.
"I want to play as many matches as possible, help the team and ultimately win trophies."
Bayern's first competitive game of the season comes in the DFL-Supercup against Borussia Dortmund on 22 August.
Vincent Kompany's side then hosts Stuttgart to start its Bundesliga title defence six days later.
