Summerville completes big-money move to Al-Hilal
Al-Hilal has announced the signing of West Ham United's Crysencio Summerville in a deal reportedly worth up to £60 million ($114.5 million).
Summerville joins the Saudi Pro League side on a four-year contract following after Ham's relegation from the Premier League to the EFL Championship.
The 24-year-old was also of reported interest to Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Roma, but Summerville has opted to join Simone Inzaghi's side.
Summerville's exit marks the third-highest sale in West Ham's history, after Declan Rice's transfer to Arsenal and Matheus Fernandes's move to Tottenham earlier this month.
He joined West Ham from Leeds United in August 2024 and went on to make 56 appearances in all competitions, scoring eight goals as well as providing five assists.
During his time at the Hammers, Summerville ranks fourth-highest for both completed dribbles (75) and chances created (51) among West Ham players since his debut.
In the 2025-2026 season, the Netherlands international managed 10 goal involvements – seven goals, three assists – second only to Jarrod Bowen (23) in the Hammers' ranks.
Summerville's fine form saw him called up to the Netherlands' squad for the World Cup, where he finished with two goals and two assists across his four appearances.
However, the winger missed the decisive spot-kick in its penalty shootout defeat to Morocco in the Round of 32 at Estadio BBVA.
But he now joins an Al-Hilal side that finished second in the Saudi Pro League last season as Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr won the title by two points.
He will now join the likes of Ruben Neves, Karim Benzema and Theo Hernandez in Saudi Arabia.
Summerville is Al-Hilal's sixth signing of the transfer window, following in the footsteps of Mohamed Al-Sarnukh, Sabri Dahal, Mohammed Al-Owais, Abdullah Al-Anazi and Nawaf Al-Habashi.
