Higuain rejects record-breaking China offer
Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain has reportedly turned down a staggering $1.3 million a week deal to play for Chinese Super League side Hebei China Fortune.
The Argentinian striker was the Serie A top goalscorer last season, and looks set to leave Napoli after rejecting a new contract offer.
A host of suitors across Europe are reportedly interested but the Chinese club put its money where its mouth is tabling a $1.3 million per week deal.
According to Sky Sports news, Higuain rejected the deal reportedly holding out for a move to Juventus, while Arsenal is also thought to be interested.
Hebei China Fortune, who already has Argentine team-mate Ezequiel Lavezzi and Gervinho on its books, was willing to make Higuain the highest paid player in the world.
Napoli is reportedly holding out for a $130 million transfer fee for its star striker who scored 36 goals in 35 appearances for the club last season.
