Liverpool dishes up defeat to a bruised United
Liverpool was at its ruthless best as it beat Manchester United 3-0 in the final friendly match of their pre-season tour to the United States.
Goals from Fabio Carvalho and Curtis Jones put the Reds 2-0 up before the break, and a simple winner from Konstantinos Tsimikas just after the hour sealed the victory.
United coach Erik ten Hag would have hoped his team would come through unscathed after seeing his squad suffer injuries through the tour, but another potentially serious one added to the list when Will Fish was taken from the field on a stretcher with his ankle in a splint.
United lost both Rasmu Hojlund and star signing Leny Yoro in the friendly defeat to Arsenal last week, and Ten Hag will be sweating again after seeing Fish in the state he was.
Marcus Rashford did play, however, and looked sharp at times, but the few chances United created were not able to be put away.
Liverpool, on the other hand, buried all its chances and finished the game without any obvious injury concerns.
