Wise retains halfpipe gold
David Wise of the United States retained his ski halfpipe Olympic title with a scintillating final run on Thursday, while compatriot Alex Ferreira won the silver.
The 2013 world champion clinched the win, scoring 97.20 in the final round. Ferreira scored 96.40 on his final run.
The Bronze went to the 16-year-old New Zealander Nico Porteous on 94.80, with teammate Beau-James Wells fourth.
It was a second New Zealand bronze of the day after 16-year-old also Zoi Sadowski Synnott finished third in the women's snowboard big air.
