PSG take on Manchester United in a blockbuster matchday 1 Champions League encounter, catch all the action with beIN SPORTS
Beaten finalists PSG kick-start their Champions League campaign with a tricky home tie against Manchester United on Tuesday evening. The last time the two sides met in March 2019, a 3-1 victory for United ensured a place in the quarter-finals against the odds and all but handed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the job on a permanent basis.
Having gone so close to winning the trophy last season, Thomas Tuchel and PSG will be looking to go again in the Champions League. The Ligue 1 champions have been handed a tricky group against the likes of Manchester United, RB Leipzig and Turkish champions Istanbul Basaksehir but will still fancy themselves to progress. PSG also possesses an impressive record in home games in the Champions League having only ever lost seven of their 53 home Champions League games at the Parcs des Princes.
In team news, Tuchel has a slight injury crisis heading into the game with Mauro Icardi, Juan Bernat and Thilo Kehrer all out through injury. Whilst the quartet of Marquinhos, Marco Verratti, Julian Draxler and Danilo Pereira all missed out in the 4-0 win over Nimes over the weekend. Angel Di Maria and Ander Herrera are in contention to start against their former side.
PSG Predicted team
Navas; Florenzi, Diallo, Kimpembe, Kurzawa; Herrera, Gueye, Paredes; Di Maria, Neymar, Mbappe

As for Manchester United, they will be looking to achieve back to continue an encouraging run of form since the start of the season. The Red Devils have won their last nine away games and are currently on a 17 undefeated streak away from home in all competitions. United warmed up for Tuesday's game with a 4-1 away victory against Newcastle. Three goals in the final ten minutes of the contest wrapped up all three points, bouncing back from their humiliating 6-1 defeat to Spurs before the international break.
The trip to Paris kick-starts a tricky run of home fixtures for Man United against Chelsea, RB Leipzig and Arsenal. It could potentially be definitive in the tenure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with Mauricio Pochettino waiting on the sidelines.
Anthony Martial is back in contention after being suspended against Newcastle, whilst Paul Pogba will be pushing for a starting place after being dropped at the weekend. Both Edinson Cavani and Harry Maguire will not be available through injury/ lack of match fitness. One doubt for United is Mason Greenwood who looks unlikely to make the trip to Paris through injury.
Manchester United Predicted Team
De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Bailey, Telles; Matic, Pogba; Mata, Fernandes, Rashford; Martial
