The Golden State Warriors bounced back from Friday's shock-loss to the Portland Trail Blazers as they secured a tight three-point victory away to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Klay Thompson starred for the winners with 32 points as the Warriors triumphed 115-112.

He was well supported by reigning NBA MVP Stephen Curry who scored 23 points, while Draymond Green added18 points, 10 assists and 11 rebounds for a triple-double.

Jamal Crawford (25 points) and Chris Paul (24) combined well for the home side, but it was not enough to stop a Warriors side on a mission to get back on the winner's list.

Miami Heat were convincing in their 20-point win over the Washington Wizards, securing a 114-94 victory and moving to 31-24 for the season.

The Heat's win was their second in a row as Hassan Whiteside returned from suspension to post 25 points and 23 rebounds.

His points tally was only bettered by team-mate Luol Deng, while Bradley Beal top-scored for the Wizards with 19.

The New York Knicks took out a five-point win over the Minnesota Timberwolves in a tight contest to snap their seven-game losing streak, which stretched back to January 29.

Carmelo Anthony spearheaded the improved performance as he scored 30 points and added 11 rebounds, while team-mate Robin Lopez scored 26 points and got 16 rebounds in a double-double performance of his own.

The Timberwolves had plenty of contributors across the court as Karl Anthony Towns (24), Andrew Wiggins (24) and Shabazz Muhammad (20) all scored 20 points or more, only to suffer their 39th loss of the season.

Elsewhere, the Milwaukee Bucks triumphed over the Atlanta Hawks 117-109 as Jabari Parker top-scored in a double-double showing with 28 points and 13 rebounds.
