Ulster keep last-eight hopes alive, Leicester down Munster
Ulster, Leicester Tigers and Clermont Auvergne were all winners in Sunday's European Rugby Champions Cup action.
Ulster kept their European Rugby Champions Cup quarter-final hopes alive by completing a double over Toulouse, while Leicester Tigers took control of Pool Four with victory over Munster.
A week on from thumping Toulouse 38-0 on home soil, Ulster earned a crucial 25-23 Pool One at the Stade Ernest Wallon.
Ruan Pienaar, Andrew Trimble and Luke Marshall all crossed the line for the visitors as they held out despite tries from Gael Fickou and Louis Picamoles for Toulouse.
Ulster are 10 points adrift of leaders Saracens, but have a game in hand over the Premiership side.
Leicester made it four wins from four with a hard-fought 17-6 win against Munster at Welford Road.
The hosts scored their first try in the 23rd minute when Ed Slater touched down from close range, but six points from Ian Keatley meant Munster trailed by just four at the break.
It remained 10-6 for the majority of the second period until Vereniki Goneva went over for Leicester's second try 15 minutes from time when a quick penalty left Munster's defence all at sea.
And in Pool Two Clermont Auvergne extracted a measure of revenge on Exeter Chiefs for last weekend's defeat by romping to a 42-10 victory at the Stade Marcel-Michelin.
Clermont, losing finalists last season, ran in five tries in a match that saw four yellow cards handed out.
David Strettle, Alexandre Lapandry, Fritz Lee, Jonathan Davies and Sebastien Vahaamahina all scored for Clermont, while Thomas Waldrom's yellow for Exeter just before half-time proved costly as the hosts ran in 12 points during his time in the sin bin.
