Liverpool has a mounting defensive crisis following the news that Central defender Joe Gomez has suffered a serious injury whilst on England duty.
Reports in England suggest that Gomez has picked up an injury whilst preparing for England's friendly game against Ireland. It remains to be seen the extend of the injury, but it could mean that Liverpool would have to dip into the transfer market in January for cover.
Virgil van Djik is currently a long-term absentee whilst Trent Alexander-Arnold had been ruled out for a month with a calf strain. The pair join Fabinho on the sidelines who has yet to return to action from a thigh injury.
