Sean Maitland and Stuart McInally have been added to Scotland's squad for Saturday's Six Nations Calcutta Cup clash with England at Twickenham.

British and Irish Lions man Maitland, who can operate on the wing or at full-back, has not featured in the tournament so far due to a shoulder injury sustained in January.

Maitland replaces Glasgow Warriors team-mate Sean Lamont, who will play no part in the rest of the Six Nations after sustaining a knee injury in Friday's Pro12 victory over Zebre.

Scotland head coach Vern Cotter has also brought in Edinburgh hooker McInally to provide cover for Ross Ford after he had a back spasm in the defeat to Italy.

Peter Horne suffered concussion in Glasgow's win on Friday and is expected to begin the graduated return to play protocol on Monday.
