Coe elected as new IAAF president ahead of Bubka
Brit Sebastian Coe is the new president of athletic's governing body, the IAAF.
Two-time Olympic gold medallist Sebastian Coe was elected as the IAAF president in China on Wednesday.
The Brit, gold medallist in the 1,500metres in 1980 and 1984, won the vote ahead of Ukrainian Sergey Bubka.
Of the 207 member federations, 115 voted for Coe and 92 for Bubka.
Coe succeeds Senegalese Lamine Diack, who has led the IAAF for 16 years.
