Defensive tackle Brandon Ivory has been waived by the Houston Texans after he was charged with first-degree burglary.
The Houston Texans cut rookie defensive tackle Brandon Ivory on Thursday after it emerged he was charged with first-degree burglary.
Ivory was arrested on Wednesday in Tuscaloosa, Alabama after he and another male broke into a home by kicking in the back door.
The residents of the house were home at the time of the break-in and told police the suspects - one armed with an assault rifle and the other with a knife - demanded money.
The suspects fled the scene in a car after allegedly stealing money and two iPads.
They were arrested at their apartment, where the stolen money and iPads, along with the weapons, were recovered.
Ivory, who played collegiately for Alabama, and the other suspect - 21-year-old Nicholas Gibson - were both placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail.
"I spoke to Brandon," Ivory's agent, Jeffrey Guerriero, told Perform in a text message.
"He is not guilty and his name will be cleared of all charges."
