South Africa close gap on India in Test rankings
The top of the ICC's Test rankings remain unchanged, but South Africa have the leaders India under heavy pressure.
India have retained first place in the ICC Test rankings, but South Africa are closing in on top spot.
An annual update to the table has taken place, with results from 2013-14 no longer counting and 2015-16's fixtures now weighted at 50 per cent.
The Proteas have closed the gap on India from 13 points to just six, but third-placed Australia have failed to keep pace, sliding from 108 points to 100, 23 off the lead.
Fourth-placed England (99) and Pakistan in sixth (93) have also gone backwards, giving up two and four points respectively.
