France cruise to win over Bosnia, Lithuania and Spain claim victories

Defending champions France made it two wins from two in the 2015 EuroBasket courtesy of an 81-54 triumph over Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Having been pushed to overtime by Finland in their opening game, France were unconvincing again for much of Sunday's clash in Montpellier.

But a spell of 21 unanswered points in six minutes made sure of victory for France, with Nicolas Batum of the Charlotte Hornets and the San Antonio Spurs' Tony Parker each contributing 11 points.

Lithuania - beaten by France in the 2013 final - overcame Latvia 68-49 in their second group match thanks largely to a 15-point showing from centre Jonas Valanciunas.

NBA All-Star Pau Gasol delivered a demonstration of his quality by putting on 21 points in Spain's 104-77 demolition of Turkey, but 2013 semi-finalists Croatia succumbed to a 72-70 loss to Greece.

Poland claimed victory in similarly tight fashion, beating Russia 82-79, Serbia edged Germany 68-66.

Italy were 71-64 winners over Iceland but Ukraine were defeated 78-64 by the Czech Republic.

Elsewhere, Macedonia got the better of Netherlands 78-71, Belgium crushed Estonia 84-55, Israel eased to 79-66 win over Finland and Slovenia were victorious 79-68 in their meeting with Georgia.
