Jack Draper has withdrawn from Wimbledon after suffering a recurrence of an arm injury.

The 24-year-old was set to play Taylor Fritz in the first round at Wimbledon on Tuesday, but will now miss a third consecutive grand slam.

Draper withdrew in the second round of last year's US Open with an arm injury, which also saw him miss the 2026 Australian Open.

After working his way back, the Briton suffered a knee injury in Barcelona that saw him ruled out of the French Open last month.

Draper made his comeback under new coach Andy Murray at Eastbourne last week, reaching the semi-finals before losing to Ugo Humbert in straight sets.

The former world number four will now miss his home slam, but is ready to return even stronger.

"Devastated to share that I have had to withdraw from my first round match due to a recurrence of my arm injury," said Draper.

"There have been a lot of painful moments in the last 12 months but this one is definitely the absolute worst as there is no greater honour for a British player than playing at Wimbledon.

"I will continue to persevere through this. Thank you for the support!"

Draper has a record of 7-5 in 2026 (including Barcelona retirement), as he also reached the quarter-finals at Indian Wells, where he defeated Novak Djokovic.

Draper joins Emma Raducanu on the injury list, with the latter pulling out of Wimbledon on Sunday due to a stress fracture.
